The power of habit: Creating a routine for success.
Have you tracked your time during the day and how you spend it?
I’d love for you to do that today.
See where you waste the most time.
Does it add up to an hour? Two hours? Three hours?
How could that time be better used?
Can you get to bed earlier and wake up earlier to meditate, journal, work out, work on yourself in some other way.
Maybe you have that set. Can you set up an evening routine? Maybe you ditch tv in the evenings after your kids are in bed for books on mindset and personal growth?
Choose one time of day you feel you waste a lot of time and create a new routine that is appealing to you.
My morning routine is:
Up at 4:30 a.m.
Meditate 10 minutes.
Personal development program/journal (I’m doing a 7-month long program on gratitude, purpose and mission right now)
Do the one thing for work that matters most today until 6 a.m.
Gym.
Come home, shower, dress, start work day.
I never thought I’d be a morning person but I have 100% adapted to this and it makes my days run so much smoother. I own the day, it doesn’t own me.
I challenge you to create a routine during one part of your day that needs it most.
